Happy 1-Month Birthday Morgan!

We can't believe Morgan is 1 month old already. Time has definitely flown by; we are sure we will be finding ourselves saying that a lot now. It is amazing to see how much she as grown in this short time.

Every day it seems like there are small changes or new explorations. Just last night she discovered Mommy's tongue! It was so cute to see her laugh and coo as it disappeared/reappeared and moved side-to-side. Mommy wasn't sure the smile she saw on Monday (Jan. 25th) was real...but now she is convinced it was.

Check out a couple adorable 1-week pictures from our good friend Danielle to see how different she looks from a few short weeks ago...

A Few More Firsts

I celebrated a few more milestones today. Slept in my crib for the very first night...granted it was only for 3 hr. increments but still. What a big girl I am!

Saw my first snow...I don't know what all the fuss is about; it just seemed cold and wet. Maybe next winter I will be able to enjoy it a bit more.

Had my first play date with my new buddy Kaya. She was born Sep 2007 so we may be in the same grade. Looks like I have some catching up to do.

And took my first real bath now that my cord finally fell off. Have to admit it wasn't too bad...much better than those cold sponge baths.

That was a lot to accomplish in one weekend. I sure am tired. I bet Mommy and Daddy are too. :)

Visitors from Chicago

Grandma and Grandpa Reineke visited from Chicago this week. We had a ton of fun!

I tried to stick to my normal schedule, but I didn't want to miss a thing. So I took catnaps when I could.

Taking advantage of a 60 degree day in February, Grandma and Grandpa went with Mommy and me on our first real outing...a shopping spree to all my favorite stores...Babies R Us, Old Navy and Carter's. Watch out Daddy, I might be enjoying this.

She's Got Lungs...

And she's not afraid to use them!

Apparently babies develop lungs or at least learn how they work at 3 weeks old. Morgan is definitely practicing using her's.

We are trying to get the hang of the 5-S strategy, which is a miracle when it works.

Morgan is also in pacifier training...finally! What a relief for Mommy and Daddy. Another miracle invention...again when it works at least. :)

I'm Free - Even if only for a Dr. Appt

I was finally allowed out if the house today, for the first time since coming home from the hospital, for my two-week check-up at the Dr.'s office. I think I really like car rides and hope to go on another one soon.

As any girl knows you can't hit the town without getting your nails done first. :) It feels so good to finally have those claws filed down.

Can't say I enjoyed the appt. but the Dr. did only have good things to say.

Since leaving the hospital at 6 lbs 15 oz, I have jumped up to 8 lbs 2 oz already. And 20 3/4 inches long. Mommy knew I was eating a lot.

Dr. Bolanowski was even impressed with my muscle tone and activity level. My parents have been saying this for weeks...but it is nice to have a professional opinion.

Well, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY everyone!!!!

Baby Cycle

The Brown household is getting used to the baby "cycle" of Eat, Sleep and Diaper changing. Notice we didn't say baby "routine." :) The length and order of the cycle is still unknown to anyone but Morgan, but Mom and Dad are going along for the ride.

Morgan looks so tiny in her crib. We know she will fill it before we know it.

Within the Baby Cycle, there are still some free moments for bath time with Mom.

Fun time with Dad.

And hanging out with the infamous Graco PuppyBears while waiting for that diaper change. They sure are interesting for being grey and never moving.

1 Week Old Today!

It is unbelievable that I am already 1 week old. And getting stronger and more alert everyday.

Relaxing with a very tired Daddy.

And a very tired Mommy...that can't be my fault, can it?

Had some visitors, including Grandma and Grandpa Brown and Mom's good friend Jen.

Aren't I the sweetest little angel?...sometimes anyway.

Overall life's not too bad.
